With less than a month to go before the start of the new season, LaLiga announced its full fixture schedule on Tuesday to leave fans licking their lips at what promises to be another mesmerising domestic campaign.
Madridistas, and indeed new boss Julen Lopetegui, will be pleased with the opening round of fixtures, which sees Madrid neighbours Getafe visit the Santiago Bernabéu on August 18 or 19, a match Los Blancos will be confident of picking up three points from.
The first matches most will look out for are the Clásico clashes with Barcelona and Madrid will travel to the Camp Nou on the weekend of 27 and 28 October for the first meeting between LaLiga's bitter rivals. The return fixture will be played at the Bernabéu on the weekend of March 2/3. All bets will be on at the online casino us for these two matches of the year.
This season LaLiga has changed the format of the fixtures with the symmetrical dates of the return matches being scrapped. After Lopetegui's men have played each team once, the format for who they play in the second half of the campaign is random.
After the season opener against Getafe, Madrid then travel to Catalonia and Girona for their first away match of the season (August 25/26) before returning back to the Spanish capital to take on another Madrid club in Leganes on September 1/2.
The first Madrid derby of the season will be played at the Wanda Metropolitan on September 29/30 before Atlético make the short trip to the Bernabéu on the weekend of February 9/10.
The season will conclude on May 18/19 or May 25/26 and Madrid will face what looks to be a tricky trip to Seville to face Real Betis. The final home league match of the campaign will be played the week before against Real Sociedad.
