Valverde pens long-term future to Madrid
Real Madrid have secured one of world football's brightest young talents to a new long-term deal at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Fede Valverde has agreed a contract extension until 2025, pending official confirmation from the club, with a huge release clause of 750 million euros, according to Marca.
The Uruguayan midfield has been one of this season's revelations at Madrid, with his form securing him a place in Zinedine Zidane's starting XI in recent weeks. That form has seen Ballon d'Or holder Luka Modric having to make do with a place on the bench.
The new deal will see the 21-year-old receive the longest contract at the club, alongside fellow youngster Rodrygo, with his big release clause a sign of how highly Madrid rate their new midfield maestro.
