Dani Ceballos could be set for a return to Real Madrid this summer. The midfielder spent last season on-loan at Premier League club Arsenal and was widely expected to spend another season away from Madrid in the 2020-21 campaign. But with no new signings incoming this summer, Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reported to be considering including Ceballos as part of his squad for the forthcoming season. Marca is reporting that Zidane wants to bring some fresh faces to his squad ahead of the new season but the only way to do that is to recall some of the players current on-loan with other clubs. With Kubo having agreed a season-long loan deal with Villarreal, that leaves Ceballos as the main option to bolster a midfield that was over-run against Manchester City in the Champions League. Whether Ceballos favours a return to Madrid if he's only going to be a bit-part player remains to be seen, but the midfield will talk to Zidane on his return to the Spanish capital. Arsenal are thought to be keen on taking Ceballos back to London next season, while former club Real Betis have also been linked with the creative midfield man.
