Ramos: I want to join Manchester United
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has told the club he wants to leave and join Manchester United.
According to The Guardian, the Spain international informed Madrid that he wants to leave and said that the only club he wants to leave for is the Premier League giants.
Ramos held a meeting at the club's Valdebebas training base before jetting off on holiday to the United States and was told that United had made a €40 million off for him. The 29-year-old stuck to his intentions to leave and the ball is now firmly in Madrid's court.
Reports in Spain suggest Madrid want a higher bid for the player and are still waiting for a follow-up offer from United.
Ramos is now on holiday and developments could cool until he returns. Madrid return for pre-season training on July 10.
