Madrid's injured given extra-time

With LaLiga's end date currently up in the air owing to the global Covid-19 crisis, some of Real Madrid's injured stars could yet feature before the end of the campaign. It was feared that players such as Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard would not kick a ball again this season owing to their injury problems but a delayed end to the current season could yet see the pair return. Asensio, who suffered a cruciate knee ligament rupture last summer, was due back in April while Hazard, who suffered a recurrence of a foot injury, was expected to be sidelined until the summer but could yet feature should the league, and Champions League, run until the end of June. Marcelo and Thibaut Courtois, both out with muscle injuries, are also expected to be fit and available if and when the season resumes. Putting the season on pause has meant that all four players could feature before the end of the season, although few know just how and when the season will be completed.
