Eden Hazard, Eden Hazard, Eden Hazard. It's fair to say the Spanish sporting press has gone to town on the Belgian's recent quotes linking him with a move to Real Madrid and Wednesday's sports pages have again led with the Chelsea man's links to the Spanish capital.
The Belgian international was quoted as saying a move to the Santiago Bernabéu would be a "dream" for him and with Madrid's current 'crisis' on the pitch, the Madrid sports press is bigging up a potential move for one of the Premier League's leading men.
'The Hazard Plan', says Marca on its front page. The front page also declares that Hazard will not renew his contract with the London club as he waits for an offer from Florentino Pérez and company, who will aim to follow the same steps they took to sign goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea for such a low price last summer. A good deal is key.
'Hazard Is Key' says AS. While Marca says Madrid will go for Hazard next summer, AS goes a step further and insists Los Blancos will make a move for the Belgian as soon as the next transfer window in January if the season continues to go badly. That would result in a higher price for the forward, who will be seen as key if Chelsea want to win the Premier League this season.
AS also ran a poll asking fans when they want Hazard to arrive in Spain, with 84.9 per cent keen on the player arriving in January.
