Kroos offers words of encouragement for Juventus availability
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos this morning offered some words of encouragement regarding his availability for Wednesday's huge Champions League semi-final second leg clash against Juventus.
The German international limped out of yesterday's 2-2 draw against Valencia after just 25 minutes, sparking fears that he would not be available for the clash with the Italians.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti said in his post-match press conference that the player's withdrawal was only a "precaution" and this morning the former Bayern Munich man offered more words of optimism regarding his injury.
"Thank you for your kind messages," said the midfielder through his Twitter account. "I've just been through the examination. Don't worry. Let's focus on Wednesday!".
Kroos was examined at Sanitas-La Moraleja Clinic this morning and will be monitored by Madrid over the next few days.
After last night's match Ancelotti said: "Kroos had a blow to his hip and we are going to evaluate it tomorrow. It doesn't seem to be a muscle problem and we are quite positive about it."
