Haaland the next new kid on the block
Real Madrid have placed one eye on buying the best young talent from around the world recently and latest sensation Erling Braut Haaland is sure to be on the club's transfer shortlist.
The Norwegian youngster has burst onto the scene this season, notching 18 goals in 11 matches so far this season with Red Bull Salzburg, and seems destined for bigger things.
It's the kind of form that will catch the attention at the Bernabéu, especially given Los Blancos' desire to sign future stars such as Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo and Luka Jovic in recent seasons.
Haaland is also the international teammate of Martin Odegaard, another hot prospect snapped up by Madrid and who is now flourishing on loan at Real Sociedad. After a shaky start to life with Madrid, Odegaard now looks destined for a future in the Spanish capital sooner rather than later.
The son of former Leeds United and Manchester City player Alf-Inge Haaland, Erling's goals in the Austrian league may be sniffed at but he tall forward also bagged a hat-trick in his side's Champions League match against Genk, and also notched a goal against Liverpool in a seven-goal thriller at Anfield.
Madrid fans may have seen the 19-year-old in action for Norway against Spain on Saturday night but the striker pulled out through injury.
Nevertheless, as the goals keep flying in from the in-form forward, the rumour mill will continue to link the best sides from Europe with his signature - including Madrid.
