Clásico searching for a new date
After the cancellation of the first Clásico of the season, a new date is being sought but seems far from straightforward.
The Spanish FA's Competitions Committee decided to officially postpone next Saturday's clash at the Camp Nou due to the ongoing political conflict in Barcelona.
A new date needs to be confirmed before 10:00 CEST next Monday, with Wednesday, December 18 looking the most likely option, but not the most straightforward to confirm.
Real Madrid released a statement on Friday to confirm their preference for a December 18 reschedule, although LaLiga and RFEF would prefer a different date owing to the Copa del Rey being played the same week.
Wednesday, December 4 is another option, although the way the fixtures fall for both teams in the calendar sees both clubs prefer December 18.
A new official date is expected to go down to the wire.
