Carlo Ancelotti turns down AC Milan approach
Former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has rejected the chance to return to AC Milan as head coach.
The Italian, who was sacked as Blancos boss last Monday, had met with Milan vice president Adriano Galliani in Madrid last week to discuss a possible return to the San Siro.
Ancelotti has turned down Milan's requests for now, however, to focus on some time away from the game.
He revealed via Twitter: "Thanks to @acmilan for their support interest. It was hard to say no to such beloved club to me but I need some rest. I wish them the best."
The 55-year-old has previously said he will travel to Canada to undergo back surgery and take some time off from coaching as a result.
