Marcelo to miss LaLiga showdown
Marcelo has suffered and injury that will keep him out of the remainder of the LaLiga season.
The left-back did not train on Thursday and was left out of the squad for Friday's crucial match against Alavés, with Los Blancos releasing a medical report on Friday afternoon.
It read: "Following the tests carried out today on Marcelo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to his left adductor muscle. His recovery will continue to be assessed."
Madrid did not reveal a timeframe for the return of the Brazilian but he is likely to miss Madrid's remaining four matches of the season.
That means Ferland Mendy will feature at left-back and Zinedine Zidane will hope Nacho fully recovers from an injury of his own to provide cover.
